Virtual Reality Demonstrations
Presentation of our solutions for
using, manipulating, studying
imaging data
In association with the Laboratory of Planetology and Geodynamics of Nantes, the VR2Planets team is offering, from 16 to 20 September, demonstrations of its virtual reality applications, designed to instantly immerse you in your terrain data.
VR2Planets uses the data acquired, among others, during the Cassini – Huygens mission (NASA, ESA), the Rosetta mission (ESA), the martian missions : Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (NASA) | Mars Science Laboratory (JPL, NASA) | ExoMars (ESA) | InSight (NASA, ESA), to transport the user to the heart of space exploration.
You will be able to venture onto Saturn’s satellite via the VR2Titan application, get back to Philae & Rosetta’s discoveries thanks to VR2Chury, interact with Curiosity, InSight, Rosalind Franklin or fly over the red planet using the VR2Mars application.
EXCLUSIVELY, we invite you to discover Virtual Field Work & PlanMap and appreciate our latest developments dedicated to geosciences education.
We will be pleased to present you all the innovative uses imagined by VR2Planets and allowed by new virtual reality technologies, adapted to resarch, teaching, and scientific communication.
The 2019 Joint Meeting of the European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC) of the Europlanet Society and the Division for Planetary Sciences (DPS) of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) will take place at the Centre International de Conférences de Genève (CICG), Geneva, Switzerland, from Sunday 15 to Friday 20 September 2019.
The opening times of the EPSC-DPS exhibition are as follows:
